Terry Miller, CFA®

Chief Investment Officer

Terry Miller, CFA® is the Chief Investment Officer at Miller Wealth Management.  In this role, Terry is responsible for managing ten model portfolios which comprise the firm’s core investment strategies.  Specific CIO responsibilities include individual security selection, percentage weighting of each security in each model portfolio, tactical asset allocation for the five broad asset classes in each model portfolio, and performance monitoring.

 

Terry joined the firm in March 2019 after working for State Farm Mutual Automobile Insurance Company for 33 years.  At State Farm, he worked primarily in the Corporate Finance and Mutual Funds departments and retired in February 2019 as the Director of Investment Accounting – Financial Operations.  In addition, he served as Vice President for a wholly-owned subsidiary that provided services to State Farm Mutual Automobile Insurance Company and State Farm Bank. 

 

Terry earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from Illinois State University in 1982.  He furthered his education by completing a Master of Business Administration degree at Illinois State University in 1987.  Terry is a member of the CFA Institute and was first granted membership in 1997 upon earning the Chartered Financial Analyst (“CFA®”) designation.  Terry’s additional educational achievements include earning the Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC®) designation.

 

In addition to the role Chief Investment Officer, Terry provides wealth management services to individual clients.  He specializes in Financial Planning, Risk Assessment, Tax Planning Strategies, and Investment Management.  He looks forward to providing exceptional client service with the highest standards of ethics and integrity.
